Xi Fa Cai - Happy Chinese New Year!

Unless you've been living under a rock this week, you'll know we welcomed in the year of the monkey, and if you're looking for something to do this weekend that doesn't involve the dreaded V word (that's Valentine's, you filthy minded so and so!), then the Chinese New Year Parade could be what you're looking for.

This Sunday, the annual Chinese New Year Parade takes place, starting at Trafalgar Square from 10am and finishing in the heart of Chinatown. Expect music, fire, craft workshops, performances, lanterns and a whole lot of tasty Chinese food from the surrounding restaurants.

As I've been told not to do my usual Thursday night gymnastics class until my gammy leg grows up a bit and you know, heals, I popped over to Chinatown after work instead today and got snap happy. it's a pretty camera friendly place, not to mention the incredible food enticing in my hungry tummy - I imagine the parade will look/smell EVEN better. Happy Friday!
