Going for the chop

A couple of weeks ago on a bit of a whim I decided to get my hair cut shorter to that kinda trendy blunt shoulder length I've seen loads of cute huns sporting at the mo.

I'd been considering it for a while but was, like any girl, a bit nervous about cutting more than my usual one inch off, but I'm really glad I did it! I love long hair, but after a few years of abusing my hair with bottle blonde hair while I was at uni (having my hair coloured by a hairdresser was a luxury I had to forfeit), my hair wouldn't get much longer than boob length before it went thin and ratty. It was time for it to go.

I booked in with my usual colour wizard Giuseppe at Lab 84 on High St Kensington. For my last snip I went to Rush on Clapham High St and got a VERY dodgy wonky haircut, but Giuseppe colours and blow dries my hair better than anyone I've had before, so I trusted him to do a good job of cutting it too!

I asked for a blunt, shoulder-length long bob style with a side parting. It doesn't look hugely shorter than my hair before which shows how thin my ends were! My hair feels so much healthier and it's way easier to style - I'm even considering going a bit shorter next time!

I am wearing:
Sunglasses - Quay Australia
Jacket - Miss Selfridge (old, similar here)
Belt - Topshop (similar here)
Jeans - ASOS
Trainers - Nike
